In the spirt of the new Broadway and two years in the making, Actors Scene Unseen is proud to present its new rock musical,
Crystal Ballroom: The Musical. Inspired by the music and expressive lyrics of New Wave legend
Joe Jackson, with an original script by James Vita and Dr. Elizabeth Peterson-Vita,
Crystal Ballroom: The Musical takes you backstage at a ballroom dance studio as you follow
the lives and loves of instructors and students preparing for the competition of a lifetime
in London. Hearts are won and hearts are broken, but these performers never miss a beat as
their stories twist and turn around each other. High drama mixes with the glittering world of
Ballroom Dance and Competiton. The music of Joe Jackson, as played by the Blaze of Glory band
and including hits like "Is She Really Going Out with Him", "It's Different for Girls",
and "Steppin' Out", will leave you breathless and on your feet!
Crystal Ballroom: The Musical is a thrilling experience with direction by award-winning director
Dr. Elizabeth Peterson-Vita and production designs by Broadway trained designer James Vita.
Crystal Ballroom: The Musical will change your notions of ballroom dancing, club dancing, and
rock 'n' roll music forever. Crystal Ballroom: The Musical is music directed and conducted by
Charlotte musical celebrity, Alan Kaufman. NY trained choreographer Candace Jennings takes us
into "Another World", a world of stylish dance and movement in the grandest Broadway traditions.
