The Battle of Alcatraz is a fictionalized account of a true event in 1946, when a Kentucky bank robber and five accomplices, staged the most daring escape attempt in U.S. Corrections history. U.S. Marines and Federal Officers finally put down the rebellion after a two-day siege. The Battle of Alcatraz is a gripping drama about trust and freedom.

During the intermission of The Battle of Alcatraz, hear a live phone interview with Ernest Lageson, author of Battle at Alcatraz and Alcatraz Justice: The Rock's Most Famous Murder Trial. Mr. Lageson is the son of one of the Alcratraz staff who was taken hostage during the real Battle of Alcatraz in 1946.
