On Saturday, October 25, 2003, ASU presented a special Halloween treat, Grave Robbers (Plan 9) from Outer Space , an Internet Radio adaptation of the classic Edward D. Wood Jr. film story. Ed Wood has been called the worst film director of all time. However, the 1994 file about Ed Wood's life and film career, starred Johnny Depp and Martin Landau and was acclaimed with Academy Award, Golden Globe, and New York Film Critics Circle wins. 

Aliens seeking to make contact with "the people of earth" are frustrated by the refusal of "Army Brass" to acknowledge their existence. The aliens hatch a plan to resurrect the dead and "march them on the Capitals of the world" as a way of getting noticed. What follows is a marvelous farce through a cardboard cemetery culminating in a thrilling confrontation aboard a "celestial ship."

At the intermission, hear an interview with film director Will Davis who will discuss "good" vs. "bad" film.
